Funky Brew opened its doors on June 22nd of 2024, but we've been brewing beer for about 20 years prior to that.  Funky Brew started out as a replacement for shop talk on the weekends between by Dad and I.  I purchased a Sam Adam's home brew kit off their website for Dad's birthday and it promptly sat for an entire year.  We brewed our first beer the following year and started doing all grain mashes a few years after that.  Philip and Andy got involved in 2016 and we finally made the jump to our micro-brewery setup in 2024.  Bottom line is we want to make a memorable experience through great conversations and unforgettable beers.  

There's so much more to the story, from renovating a building built in 1892, to the details of how each owner's role developed over time and how we came up with the names of our hand-crafted beers and seltzers!  We encourage you to come by and hear those stories in person (they may be long stories, depending on who you ask).  Our story wouldn't be complete without our little community we reside in.  It has been nothing short of amazing to see everyone's reaction to our little brewery's development.  From years of gatherings at the farm to having a location in town with nostalgic value has meant the world to us and we hope everyone else feels the same for years to come.
